Introduction

Our past is hidden in our myths; and the fables are but the mirrors of the mores and ethics of our existence.
So let us relish them both, for there is a lesson to be learned there about the roots and progress of our humanity, or the lack of it.
So this is the objective:
To publish the best of them, and then, in some cold winter nights, relish them by reading them slowly, or reading them and teaching their meaning to our children.
And who else is there better to start with, but the greatest fabler of them all: Aesop!

I start with four of his stories, as slighty embellished by me, alex moskios.
